Natural, quiet, and protected — part of the Cassibile Nature Reserve with no commercial development. White sand and turquoise water in a completely unspoiled setting. Shallow water suitable for children despite the remote location.

Tip: Access via gravel road and brief walk. Bring everything you need — no facilities on site.
Spiaggia di Sampieri with historic Fornace Penna ruins

Spiaggia di Sampieri

A golden sandy beach backed by dunes and Mediterranean vegetation, with a dramatic historic brick factory ruin at one end of the shore. Great for long walks. The nearby village has excellent local restaurants.

Calamosche bay inside Vendicari nature reserve

45 min drive + 15 min walk

Calamosche

Frequently ranked among the most beautiful beaches in Italy. A sheltered cove between rocky headlands inside the Vendicari Nature Reserve. Excellent snorkelling opportunities in crystal-clear water.

Tip: The 15-minute walk from the car park is part of the experience — through Mediterranean scrubland with wildlife spotting.
San Lorenzo beach with fine white sand and clear shallow water

40 minutes by car

San Lorenzo

A wide shoreline with bright blue water. Both free areas and equipped beach clubs available. Good for combining swimming with nearby sightseeing in Marzamemi or Noto.

Punta Cirica — dramatic rocky coastline

~1 hour by car

Punta Cirica

The most rugged and dramatic coastal option. High limestone sea stacks and rocky platforms above deep water. Small hidden coves reward those willing to navigate uneven terrain. Best for confident swimmers and explorers.

Tip: Visit in the morning for calm conditions. Proper footwear essential.
